I am having problems flashing a Netgear R7500v2 from stock firmware using the factory-to-ddwrt.img image file. Stock firmware is version 1.0.0.28. I did the 30/30/30 reset before attempting to upload the initial flash file. Using the GUI method, after I upload the factory-to-ddwrt.img file, I get the error "This firmware file is incorrect!". How can I solve this?

Thanks.

Never do 30/30/30 on Qualcomm/Atheros routers, it can cause problems.

Try the R7500v2-factory-to-ddwrt.img from Kong's test folder here:
http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-IPQ806X/Test/

Also look at http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/Readme.txt

When you are on DD-WRT, tenet or ssh (may need to be enabled in GUI) into your router
and do
Code:
nvram erase && reboot
.

Kong builds can be updated using
Code:
ddup --flash-latest

from telnet/ssh command line.

You can switch back to std BS builds using GUI if you prefer.

Thanks for the link to the file in Kong's test folder. It worked and I was able to update to the latest build version.
