Don't know if this will help and NO, I don't own a Marvell router but after install r40048 on the EA8500 I went in webif to page '../NAS.asp' and
clicked 'Apply Settings' to make samba share start working.
Seems smbd was not even running at all till I done that ....and yea r40009 was good from the start

mrjcd,
That's amusing! Yeah, that seemed to correct the issue, and I can map the NAS now. However, whenever I reboot the router, the problem exists again. In other words, I have to apply the settings every time the router is powered or booted. Unfortunately keep alive is rebooting my router on a regular basis per need, so I still have to back out and stay with r40009 until BS can do his magic.
I could get my NAS to work by restarting it but yes would lose it again after reboot...Also I couldn't see my PCs on the network but eventually could by restarting Samba server...Then a reboot and again I couldn't see them...
Reverted back to r40009 which has been working flawless for me... _________________ WRT1900ACSv2
Updated with bin file from factory and the interface is all screwy. Updated with webflash and the install bricked. Grant I updated with r37305 installed so maybe a newer version of this crap needs to be installed before putting the other newer crap on before webflash. WRT3200ACM

Stay on stock firmware until there's a stable release and stop whingeing?
Updated WRT1200AC v1 from r40009 to r40048 with no reset, no issues using Waterfox 56.2.10 (64 bit) Up-time 6+ hrs Usual OpenVPN client yellows in syslog. No reds with this release or the past couple of releases.
I don't use NAS . . . but everything else is working for me. r40009 gave me two wired disconnects over 4 days with reboot required to reconnect and seemed sluggish when browsing. r40048 seems to have removed the sluggish behavior and no wired/wireless disconnects so far.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.181 #1082 SMP Sun Jun 16 03:48:26 CEST 2019 armv7l
Edit: Dropped internet connection at around 10 hrs uptime, reboot restored connection . . . reverted to r39956 which has worked well for me.

Just updated (FF 67.0.1 x64 Mac), and so far, so good.
I'm hoping that perhaps the Scheduled Reboot will work with this new release. _________________ Router: Linksys WRT1900ACSv2

Not whining just stating the facts about the sh$t builds. I am on a stock stable build if you would read all my post, and it works very well for my needs. Just trying to help, but the admins, and Moderators of this site obviously don't keep up with fixing problems with in this forum, firmware, etc.

I'm just thankful a new build hasn't dropped in a couple of days, so let's all rest now. Maybe thay have finally decided to start testing builds before releasing. My personal opinion would be to test speeds after options are enabled with slower networks, and faster networks optimizing those issues first while keeping speed test in check while optimizing firmware functionality further.
