Does anyone know where to put files if you're using external storage (/jffs/www) if you want to be able to run cgi-bin files?

due to this bug: https://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/6639

php has recently stopped working due to a memory allocation issue.

I would like to decrease my reliance on php and just go direct cgi-bin which should be the lightest approach.

I'm not sure where the sh scripts should go when utilizing lighttpd as I plan on porting my php scripts over to sh scripts I'm not sure how the stock lighttpd has cgi-bin configured.

solved you need to add

cgi.assign = ( ".cgi" => "" )

in order to get sh scripts to execute make sure to mark them as executable.

There's also an alternative line you can use if you want only a specific folder to be executable.
