Oh, so you perused the links I posted... I think the OpenWRT resource(s) mentioned that? Good to know my effort was not in vain. Or yours, for that matter. Thanks for your work!

Sorry KP, didn't use any of your links....

I have used the open wrt tftp recovery page in the past, but the directions there say to use 192.168.1.66 for your NIC IP and to use 192.168.1.86 for the router/host.... The A7v5 is still old school using the 0.66 and 0.86 under the old firmware rules... so that was a huge issue. Also, by the open wrt guidelines you would assume to use the name ArcherA7v5_tp_recovery.bin and yet the router is looking for the C7v5 name...so again...not standard to any written guides. This guide helped me figure out how to use wireshark, which was stupid easy...just don't use the portable version, and do a full install...

So, mystery solved and I have been able to fully recover an A7v5 back to stock from dd-wrt.

Also, the new version of chrome and some of my pluggins are playing nasty and blocking scripts/javascript super hardcore now...so I had to use incognito mode to use them disabled...

And the Archer A7v5 device wiki is now up, and a work in progress.

Report in the build thread for the build you flashed. I will leave it up to MSOE to re-open this thread, if necessary, but it shouldn't be. No one-stop-shop helpdesk threads. Not going to have a thread balloon into 200 pages like the R7800 thread did. It winds up being cumbersome and useless.
