Hey guys,

I'm sorry if this has been asked many many times before, but as I can't really find a term that fits my needs, I can't find any answers on this question...

I want to flash my old Linksys E3000 Router with a new firmware, so that I can use it as a "wireless network card" --> Getting WiFi and giving it out to a LAN PC.

I have already "Trailed Flashed" the device using the dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp-e3000.bin build provided in the wiki.

But I still don't know which firmware to choose to fit my needs... would be great if someone could provide me a fitting software and some soft instructions on how to install it Smile

Thanks

https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linking_Routers "Client Mode". You will want to update to at least K2.6 33772 for Krack fix, but you may wish to bump over to the K3.x latest build https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/

I'm afraid to ask why you're not installing a wireless adapter in the PC....
