Hi,
I could really use some expertise in evaluating my logs for my system to maybe pin down why my performance is so poor for speed. I have Spectrum/Time Warner as a provider with a 300MBps Plan. I'm getting about 30MBps Down and 15MBps up. Also, I can't see my USB drives on my network. I don't know why but could also use some assistance there.

It seems you are testing connected via your VPN connection to IPVanish.
What kind of performance can you expect using OVPN on an R8000 with a dual core Arm A9 at 1 GHz?
Probably the same as for an R7000 or R6400v2, I think
Fortunately I have a R6400 v2 running OVPN and depending on your settings (AES 128 is somewhat faster than AES 256, UDP is somewhat faster than TCP etc) and what else the router has to do you can get 30-40 Mb/s, I would think.
HI egc, Thank you for a response.

I really don't know what I should expect. I dropped a nice penny for this R8000 thinking I had a pretty good router, I'm stuck with this one and just trying to get to most out of it that I can.
Hi kernel-panic69, I will pay attention to any follow on image sizes. my bad.
I will take your advice and upgrade to the version you suggest and repost after getting it up and running. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you want faster get a faster router like an R7800
Isn't AES 128bit deprecated? It might be faster, but if you are going for encryption and something is easily bypassed, why even mention it?

AES 128 is not deprecated and unless you are a high level target of the NSA it is safe.
OVPN is a unfortunately a CPU consuming implementation. Encryption plays a role but it is is the switching between user and kernel space which is the culprit.
