I don't know whether the WRT3200ACM has any special needs (like the WRT32X, apparently) regarding reverting to stock, but it may be as simple as using the file linksys provides at that link in the GUI>Administration>Upgrade process.

Does anyone know?

I have had to revert my 3200's back a couple of times and you are right on with the procedure, nothing special just use the linksys firmware and update.

Is this the same for the 1900ACS ?

https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=165487

Just apply the official firmware in the DD-WRT upgrade firmware section ?

It should work the same way, BS was able to code it in to be able to go back just by using the stock firmware.
If not, there is (or maybe was backup site with <Kong>'s revert to stock files, can't remember if he made one for the ACS though), I can't remember the sites URL but I know someone on here remembers.

Apologies for the bump - but is this confirmed as working? I need to revert my WRT1900ACS V2 and want to know if all I need is the latest Linksys stock firmware for that? (as below)

Well, you do have two partitions. I say go for it. You have a USB to TTL serial cable such as Adafruit 954? Factory firmware can be flashed via u-boot environment and TFTP with that cable.

I don't have a serial cable.. I thought I had read that DD supported easy flashing of stock but maybe I imagined it.

I know WRT3200ACM has this ability so you didn't imagine it, but I don't have a 1900 series to test. It should work.
