Hey guys, wondering if I just flash the regular firmware of the DIR-890L in the dd-wrt upgrade section to go back to stock. DD-WRT for some reason has killed my 2.4ghz wireless connection. Every time I try to connect to it from my phone or computer, it doesn't issue an IP and just fails. I have to use my 5ghz connection.
I updated from a January build where the 2.4ghz channel was buggy and slow, and now it doesn't work at all. It seemed to relatively work on a November build before, but I have forgotten what build that was. This router seemed to run better on stock.
Is R8000 still the one to use for this router? I see that there is also an R8500.
Yes, still R8000.
R8500 should not be used for this model. It has totally different hardware. _________________
