My Smart Lamp doesn't connect to the 2.4Ghz radio.
5GHz radio doesn't come up on channels 100+, AC-only VHT160
ath2 didn't work for me, lots of errors.
Oh well, back to venom firmware
Not sure how similar the 3200 is to 32X but I am running 160 on my 3200's channel 100 (UUU +14) without problem.
Also because I need access to ESP8266 devices with my 3200 and they won't connect to ATH1 I use ATH2 Mixed, 20Mgz only, Channel 1. ATH1 is disabled and no other AP's are interfering with Channel 1. What I have found is that if I run any other AP's that even slightly drop into Channel 1 spectrum, ATH2 will get considerable errors and ultimately just stop.
I gave those settings a shot on my WRT3200ACM, nothing would connect. It's been a constant issue since installing DDWRT. I can't use VHT160 at all. I only have 1 device that uses it, and I would love to have it enabled.
Not sure what your problem is, but on my 3200 master I use VHT160, Channel 100 (UUU)(+14) AC/N Only. I have three routers in client-bridge mode all connecting without problem of which one is a second 3200 which connects in VHT160 mode. Also my wife has no problem with connecting an ancient HP Laptop to the 5Ghz.
Incidentally I am in Canada using a US build 3200. If you are running a EU unit or other you may have to choose a different channel subset as it is not the same allowances. ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels _________________ WRT3200acm Master WDS 5GHz 80Mhz CH 100 (+6) r48567

do you solve the problem?
If you look at the posts I have made in 1900 V1 Reboots you will notice considerable problems all revolving around the esp8266.
It has been said many times, "Do not use Ath2, disable".
My most recent setup defines many problems and possible corrective actions. On my 3200 Master I use Ath1 with ESP8266 devices connected G only and wmm disabled. Running r42681 with no drops on the ESP8266 devices in over 24hr+
My remote 3200 as I have currently configured on Ath1 G only wmm disabled, IP Cameras solid with no reconnects in over 24hr. ESP8266 devices routinely disconnect/reconnect as they always have on the remote link.
Conclusion is that ESP8266 devices require Internet access to their cloud and will quickly time out if for any reason the link is not there. I can cause drops on my ESP8266 devices on my master by simply removing the Internet access. On the remote 3200 if I run a larger download the same occurs and because I am running a dozen or so ip cams from the remote my ESP8266 devices will always have trouble maintaining a solid Internet connection over the remote link. _________________ WRT3200acm Master WDS 5GHz 80Mhz CH 100 (+6) r48567

i tried Ath1 connected G only and wmm disabled and Ath2 disabled but the same problem still exist.
My 2.4Ghz access point is only visible for a certain time, then it seems to become more reactive.

Do you know how to solve the problem?
I wish I had an answer for you. I just pulled all my 2.4Ghz from my 3200's and hooked up an old 1200V1 which serves the purpose of eliminating all the strange problems with the 3200's
Besides the ESP8266 problems I also encountered a strange problem with Android phones. If a phone connected to the G only wmm disabled it worked great. If it connected to N/G wmm enabled it would constantly disconnect/reconnect.
It only follows that the MwlWifi processor is a problem on the 3200/32X Routers as has been said repeatably.
I didn't want to add more hardware, but enough is enough. _________________ WRT3200acm Master WDS 5GHz 80Mhz CH 100 (+6) r48567
