Hi,
I'm having an issue with my EX6100 range extender when using it with a WNDR4500 with DD-WRT v3.0-r38507M giga (01/29/19).

The EX6100 works fine for a little while, but eventually loses connection, with an orange light, and requires a reboot to work again; usually this is between thirty minutes to an hour.

The WNDR4500 Wi-Fi config is mostly stock, in bridged AP mode and connected to another router. I kept the same SSID/paraphrase as I used with the stock firmware, so all my devices would connect straight away. Other devices on the network appear to be working correctly, and the EX6100 worked perfectly on the stock firmware. I have tried reverting firmware and the EX6100 starts working normally again.

I don't know what else to do, and would rather not go back to the stock EOL firmware.

Many thanks in advance.

Do you have the V1 or V2 of the EX6100?

There are 3 versions of the WNDR4500

v1 EX6100: Ralink/Mediatek
v1 WNDR4500: Broadcom

They have different chip-sets, so WDS is not working reliable.

If the EX6100 is connecting as a client, it may be the wireless settings.

The EX6100 is connecting as a client. Something in the wireless config is hopefully the problem, but finding out what that is will be the tricky part.
