Ok, I'm not sure at what version this issue started. Doesn't seem to get in the way of the router performance that is noticeable, but after an unknown amount of time, the router will go from an average of 3% to 5% CPU time, and just peg at 100% solid and stay there until I reboot the router. The CPU does seem to be doing something, for the temperature readings escalate as well. Any ideas, or is it a firmware flaw?

I've seen that in a recent DD-WRT upgrade to my Archer C9 router. However, it went away once I had made a nominal change and applied it. Enable uPnP in my case. Before I made the change, the issue was persistent across reboots.
Not seen it on either of my LinkSys routers though. _________________ Linksys WRT32X v1 - r45677

I'm having the same issue with my R8000 with the latest BS02/06/2019 release. I know this after setting up ExpressVPN. I have to reboot it to bring it back down to the norm which is less than 10%. I've been monitoring it, but usually goes back to 100% after about a day or so. Weird.

Ok, I tried that. Enabled upnp, and shuffled around a few other options. Save, cold boot. 24 hours later 100%
