Hello,

I have an R8000 on DD-WRT build 37305. I want to revert to NetGear firmware but cannot get it done.

I've tried the GUI and upgrading using the latest .chk from firmware. Spins and spins and never upgrades. Incidentally, Chrome shows 1% uploaded in the lower left corner.

Right now, I've left it in the spinning state for about 10 minutes.

I have also tried the TFTP method but can never get TFTP to connect. I've tried the NG TFTP2 method (Windows app) and the TFTP command line.

Router boots and shows TTL=100 and I try the options above. Nothing happens. Ping goes to "response timeout" and then boots to DD-WRT. TFTP fails.

Next step is to try the serial USB-TTL method, but I would prefer to avoid it if possible.

Why doesn't the firmware work in the GUI?

Please help.
