Router Model: Netgear WNDR 4300

Status: Upgrade unsuccessful. Bugged.
Reset: Yes
Errors: Upgrade page doesn't work.

When I upgraded, the progress bar never showed up, network access just died right there and the power light was flashing orange.
Waited a few minutes just in case it was doing anything, shut down the router and rebooted it.
It bugged up there. Even after rebooting, it still flash orange.

Recovered via tftp, will retry.

Edit :
Status: Working as far as I can tell
Reset: Yes (and recovered a backup... so No?)
Errors: Wifi dies out after a while

Reinstalled from the Factory image after it failed the first time around. Now it's working....

Edit 2 : 2.4 wifi N-only, G-only, B-only, BG-mixed and NG-mixed all died. But somehow "mixed" still work.
I can still see the wifi network on my devices, but it refuses to actually connect to it.

still a huge a mess & stripped, fragmented hostapd everywhere, missing nearly all 802.11v support when cheap routers out of box now a days have it.. k4.x qos problem isnt fixed on bs builds whatsoever. PIE is still missing since the k4.x switch, U-APSD missing.

will the rest of routers like dir_862L ever get 802.11r, w, wpa3 etc..? wtf already

Hi all. New to the forun. Three results and a question....

Router Model: TP-Link ARCHER-C7 v2
Status: working
Reset: web upgrade, no reset
Errors: none, sofar

Router Model: TP-Link WA850RE, range extender,
using WA901ND-v3 firmware
Status: working
Reset: web upgrade, no reset
Errors: none, sofar

Router Model: TP-Link WR940N, using WR940ND v6 firmw
Status: half working
Reset: web upgrade, reset
Errors: wired connections do not ping each other

Two first routers work, but the 940N ist just half working.
Connection to internet (LAN/WLAN-WAN) works,
connection from wired to wireless (WLAN-LAN) is ok too, but
LAN-LAN connection is not working. Wired boxes can't see
each other.

Any ideas ?

In practical terms, what's the difference between the U.S. version and the generic version?

I noticed the main page appears to be linking to the generic version only.
