I am transmitting SSID to remote room using a router configured as repeater. I want to transmit two SSIDs while avoiding complications of adding one more router.

Is it possible to have a repeater (or repeater bridge) running dd-wrt to repeat two SSIDs (One 2.4 GHz another 2.4 GHz VAP) ?

In other words:
Router 1: Connected to PPPOE internet transmitting 2.4GHz SSID and 2.4GHz VAP
Router 2: Should connect wirelessly to Router 1 and transmit (repeat) both

Is this possible?
Where do I start my study for this?

Some modems can do this, it depends on the hardware. But you can add a VAP to. bridged device. As long as you understans that repeater bridges are mostly OK with mobile dvices but work like sh*t with portable devices.

Cheera.

Thanks jxm - for both the response and the jibe. Felt nice to return from a long trip to find that someone had at least responded to my query.

I deduced sometime back that to repeat two SSIDs, the router would have to have two inputs for internet. Mine (an old E900) has just one input. So I started looking if there was a way to get two inputs on the R6400 - and I could not find anything on this. So I put this post before giving up. I guess that's not possible with the old workhorse that I have.
