I'm trying to upgrade the firmware in my Netgear EX6200. The current firmware is DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/27/14) mini - build 25735M. I uploaded the latest Kong (dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin updated on 9/23/1Cool and got the message "successfully installed". However, after reboot, the router still shows the old firmware.

Am I using the right bin file? Where am I going wrong?

Thanks
Eric

Not sure which <Kong> build supports EX6200 but standard DD-WRT Build is found here.

I think you have to use the .chk file for the EX6200 to use a <Kong> build:

http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/dd-wrt.K3_EX6200.chk

http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/TEST/dd-wrt.K3_EX6200.chk

Because the STD file doesn't say it supports that device....

Good catch K-P69
Guess I went blind for a while and didn't see that.

Thanks for the reply. So, just so I'm clear, I need to use the upgrade feature in the old Kong build to upload the "chk" file. Then, do I use that to install the standard "bin"? I'm not supposed to just run the "chk" am I?

Thanks
Eric

All you should need is the .chk file. The one linked in the 'TEST' folder is his latest build.
