I just upgraded my AC-68U from Kong 35030M (02/19/1Cool to the latest build (09-23-1Cool but as soon as the router starts up the web interface run extremely slow, the load runs around .7-.8 (previous build runs ~.01), and the router just dies after about an hour and requires a power cycle.

I logged in a checked top, and the CPU usage is extremely low, even with the high load. That seems to point to an IO issue, but hard to tell without iostat or iotop.

I didn't have a lot of time today to debug the issue, so for now I've just rolled back to my previous build. I just installed sysstats, so when I have some time I'll retry the upgrade and see if iostat gives me any more insight.

Has anyone else seen an issue like this or suggestions for other things to check?

Thanks!

Have you erased nvram from CLI and setup manually?

Not yet, that is a last resort. From what I've read that should no longer be required anymore.

Well then you have read the wrong things Smile

If you experience problems then the first thing you should do is reset to defaults (The best way is to erase nvram from CLI, if you router supports it) and put settings in manually

Couple of posts straight from <Kong> that indicate under most circumstance a reset isn't needed.

Obviously if I can't find the issue and I can find the time, a reset will be part of my debugging. Very Happy

I hardly ever reset only if I have problems which I can not explain or solve like you have.
