Hi,

I have a DIR-615-I1 router and it's been acting up. It randomly resets through out the day. I am running DD-WRT v3.0-r37582 std (11/03/1Cool beta firmware.

I have changed the 12V power adapter to rule out a failing/flaky device.

Is there any way to find if this is due to a kernel panic ?

Before I throw this one out, I wanted to see if there are any suggestions.

Thanks,
Moe

if random reset is the issue it's more likely like faulty
nvram try another build or even older build on it..as well
make sure you do not go close or over 64k nvram size in regards to a settings, scripts and ect..
apart of that DIR 615 are very old dogs they need a rest in peace...anything new with better specs will deliver much better performance...

Thanks Alozaros.

I downgraded the firmware to DD-WRT v3.0-r37012 std (09/21/1Cool after I posted this. Router has been running fine for more than a day.

How do I check the nvram size? I don't have any scripts on this system.

Does it help if I upgrade to the latest beta firmware, clear nvram and then configure the device?

My primary router died and this is my backup device. I agree it's quite old. I am researching newer model that supports dd-wrt.

NVRAM size doesn't seem to be the issue.

root@dlink-homerouter:~# nvram show | grep size
size: 47158 bytes (18378 left)

I will monitor the router for couple of days.
