qos download is actually fixed and the same as 3.18 now.

802.11r is appearing to be working, hostapd started, its showing in beacon info. 802.11w still kills radios though.

a few of our auto hostapd config entries are improved but many are still bad or seemingly missing from its compilation.

yay test night.

so what was the filthy bug with 4.9's ipq qos?

r37630 commit didnt fix ticket 5279.

wpa3 any combo of it, now radios doesnt broadcast at all.

802.11r is fixed and working EXCEPT one missed hostapd config entry, or it doesnt work and breaks roaming. we are missing ft_psk_generate_local=1 on both radios, without it roaming is sticky on all devices, usually dont roam at all and just drop, when they do try to roam, they have to do the 4 way handshake every time. here is openwrt commit of it https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/916119/ below is a log output with ft_psk_generate_local=1 added:

Linksys EA8500
Upgraded from r37630M-K3.18 with no reset.
All working well (including internet radio that wasn't on r37495M).
Wireless Security has all the latest variations as per BS.
No WireGuard tunnel though - I might need that in a few weeks.

i think we may be missing these in beacon info as well for 802.11r, especially the bss transition

Extended Capabilities: 00001111 (0x0F) - octet 3
.......1 - TFS: Supported
......1. - WNM-Sleep Mode: Supported
.....1.. - TIM Broadcast: Supported
....1... - BSS Transition: Supported

was an example from a other nearby ap with mobility domain on as well

GUI install r37780M on EA8500 main router
seems to be worky well ... and yea, the radio temps are showing here

CPU 58.374 °C / ath0 48 °C / ath1 52 °C

EDIT:
I did have a bit of trouble with its ovpn server. Log showed bunch of:
..... write UDPv4: Message too large (code=90)
Client connected would basically quit resolving anything.

I changed its ovpn server port to TCP but client would not even connect.
Disabled its 'Tunnel UDP MSS-Fix' and that was no good either.
Made some changes on the client but no luck so I set everything back to the way I
normally run an just done a soft reboot of the EA8500. It is now all working great.
Have no ideal why problem after first install.....
I reckon likely because I just installed over BS_r37736 and it got a bit confused
all is fine now Razz

Closing ssh connections now. Flashing now...

<Kong> your php script is targeting the wrong folder.

Also my latency is still way too high.

Its really inconsistent... I don't know what to make of it.

2 results that show it should work fine yet the first test was really bad.

Wow, so 802.11r is actually getting kind of close it sounds. Surprising we've finally made it this far.

I discovered after a couple of hours that the WiFi is not working in this build and I was trying all sorts of things.
I decided to reset the nvram and it was working but as soon as I set my settings back manually it stopped again. Turns out VHT80 and VHT160 are both broken.
Then I put my nvram back and to my surprise the ath1 was completely gone. This was only fixed after a reboot.

So in terms of WiFi this build is actually broken.
