Keep VPN disabled, Keep Shortcut forwarding disabled

On your PC (which is connected to the unbridged radio) open a command prompt (in the search box type cmd and open cmd.exe)

type: ipconfig/all
and post IP address, net mask, gateway and DNS server

In the same command prompt:
ping 192.168.2.1
ping 192.168.1.1
ping 8.8.8.8

That is a start you get a good IP address and have internet connection.
Open a webbrowser and type as address: 172.217.17.142
that is google.com

If you can reach that but not google.com you have DNS problem Sad

One more thing to try: on the Setup/Networking tab Disable L2mesh (it is under the Subnet Mask).

Just to be sure that the IP address of the unbridged radio is not used set it on an IP address of 192.168.13.1 netmask 255.255.255.0

Check if you are not using any other firewall rules

Reboot the router

If that is not working I must say I am in the dark, I have done this on all kind of routers (with recent firmware) and it basically just works.

The only thing I can think of is to reset to defaults and keep it like that and only doing the unbridging.
Or you could try the old method with creating a bridge described here : https://flashrouters.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000967873-How-To-Setup-a-DD-WRT-Guest-Wireless-Network-On-Your-FlashRouter

egc seems to have taken you through the whole thing... please see the following comments and try again. Check if it works. Else you will need to erase everything and start again.

one issue I have us when I create a bridge I don't get the option to set a IP

In the new builds, you need to Scroll down to “Port Setup >> Network Configuration br1” to set the IP. This will appear only after you have added the bridge and done "Apply Settings" ... some routers may need a reboot.

Have you entered the following lines to your firewall?

iptables -I INPUT -i br1 -p udp --dport 53 -j ACCEPT
iptables -I INPUT -i br1 -p tcp --dport 53 -j ACCEPT

(edited above lines ... I had pasted the wrong line earlier)

You have mentioned somewhere that you are willing to pay to get this done. That is the easy method. The interesting method is to spend some time and learn. I agree the wiki is old and needs adaptation. I had gone through what you are going through now. Trust me ... the wiki is great. Only needs us to learn a little and adapt. and trust me again - it is easy peasy once you get a hang of it.

If you still face this problem, please make a post and I will try to edit my short notes so that you can just follow these from scratch. My notes are also based on the wiki, but with my adaptations for the current builds.
