Router Model TP-Link TL-WR841ND v11
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r39538 std (04/16/19)
Kernel Version Linux 3.18.138 #38368 Tue Apr 16 04:23:55
Update from r39508 via telnet.
Uptime 2:56
Working OK as AP, NG-Mixed, HT40, QOS.

Beginning with r39508 Wiwiz is not crashing WIFI anymore (like in r39494) but it does absolutely nothing, no nearby wifi station is shown, only rotating grid.

Ooops,

This version bricked my router. Constant cycled reboots.

Still unable to go back to older flash.

A better router in your future could stop the constant whining.

WNDR3700 V4
DD-WRT v3.0-r39538 std (04/16/19)
Linux 3.18.138 #38406 Tue Apr 16 05:19:43 CEST 2019 mips

Status: OK
upgrade via GUI from r39296 with no reset.

DNS working after I removed the Additional Dnsmasq Option:
Quote:
cache-size=2000

That option seems to still break dnsmasq, although I didn't get to test it very much. (Too many cries of "The internet is down again!" from the next room.)

Thanks for the solution, Brainslayer.

Buffalo WZR-600DHP
DD-WRT v3.0-r39538 std (04/16/19)
I used Telnet for installation - I reset nvram
Linux 3.10.108-d8 #6875 Tue Apr 16 02:07:17 CEST 2019 mips
Working OK
Wifi 5GHz and 2.4GHz, NAS, OpenVPN, Samba

I couldn't upgrade router since r38581 due to the file being to big. I was able to successfully upgrade the firmware with r39538. Thanks to everyone involved. Very Happy

That's not been allowed for a long time. This is not a new problem. Two cache-size= lines in dnsmasq.conf crashes DNSMasq.

Hmmm, well that's odd. It has been working for me on every build up to and including r39296.

BS made changes after R39296 to the cache size and since then it bunked up having the extra line in the Additional Dnsmasq Options. This is a very recent addition, as of April 2019 builds.

It was a long time ago when I found cache-size=x in additional options crashed DNSMasq. At least a year ago, maybe two years. But since the default is 1500 I probably wouldn't want it that much larger anyway.
