There are some WiFi issues, though (ath0, 2.4GHz).
WiFi won't work at all if a single virtual interface is turned on.
Don't know why, every setting is the same as on the last firmware (v3.0-r36168 std (06/20/18 )).
It just shows Channel "Unknown" and no SSID is visible to devices (tried two phones and a Chromecast).
WiFi is essentially dead (even the WiFi LED doesn't work).
Turning off the virtual interface "re-enables" ath0, re-enables the WiFi LED and everything then works. O_o
Weird...this hasn't happened before.
edit: oh, forgot: did a 30-30-30 just in case. Didn't help. Virutal network doesn't work.

Common with the router you have. It’s cheap. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

I had the same problem.
The fix for me: telnet or ssh into the router via ethernet and clear the nvram.

This has been an ongoing issue for months. It will likely never be fixed at this point. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G

syslog needs it own dedicated tab in webif, with config options for what and to what not log.. while on some routers like dir-862L, it logs almost nothing anymore for months now, devices connecting to wifi etc, not logged anymore, while it does continue to log useless timezone updates constantly (and ofc https spam). utterly useless syslog on it.
r7800 still logs devices connecting to wifi, for now.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
