Is it possible to TFTP a file from the router to a computer?
I am trying to recover a Linksys EA6100 (not supported, I know). I have a second one that is working. Both have Serial access. I want to grab the working boot partition from one and transfer it to my PC, so I can flash it to the not working one.
PS, for those wondering. Yes, I have already tried flashing the factory firmware. It still says Bad Magic Number.
On the working router, running Linksys stock firmware, I can either do it from within the firmware (Linux based) or from U-boot which has very limited commands. U-boot does have the nand command but I can't figure out how to transfer data to a file that sits on the routers RAM so that I can then use TFTP. The "nand read" command only outputs a section of the flash to the serial console.
Any suggestions? _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
