I've only had my R8000 for the past couple of days but I hate it already. What your asking would be nice to have but it wont fix the issues that this device seems to have.

You should have started a new thrread instead of resurrecting an old one.

DD-WRT has lots of settings, but you do not have to use them all. If you load the browser interface, you initially only need to use the first two tabs, Setup and Wireless... and many of the settings have defaults which you do not have to change. You can always update your settings later, as long as you do not make a stupid change and lock yourself out of the router.

.....

Cheers

Well said.

...and may I add that dd-wrt needs a little patience to climax. Of course one can always pay someone and get it done quick, but that's hardly the same thing.
