My old Asus rt-n66u died, and I recently replaced it with a Netgear R9000. I got DD-WRT installed and running, but I can't get USB printing to work. It worked on the rt-n66u without me doing anything special. It doesn't want to work on the R9000 at all.
The printer is an ancient but extremely reliable HP Laserjet 1015.
dmesg shows the device is detected as a usb1 device (same as on the asus):
[ 22.182018] usb 1-2: new full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
I think the problem stems from usblp missing in /lib/modules
root@DD-WRT:/lib/modules/4.9.103-rc1# ls usb*
usb-common.ko usb_wwan.ko usbip-core.ko usbserial.ko
usb-storage.ko usbcore.ko usbip-host.ko
I tried the latest official and kong builds for r9000.
I see this was corrected for the r7800 here:
https://svn.dd-wrt.com//ticket/6151
How can I get this corrected for my R9000? I'm disappointed as this missing feature seems like a downgrade compared to the much older router it replaced. |
