I am just dipping my toes into VPN having been tinkering with DD-WRT on my Linksys now for some time.
What i am confused about, is VPN server vs VPN service.
If I install the OpenVPN service on my router and get my IPTV LAN device to connect to the VPN server running on the router, will this "unblock" certain IPTV streams that my ISP is blocking.
Or,
Do I have to sign up to a VPN service, or alternatively install my own server in cloud-space. If so, why if I'm running a sever on my router and connection to the ISP is encypted? |
