I am confused as the firmware wiki says that router database may have outdated versions. Where exactly do I look for a stable release (if available) for my TP-Link WR841N version 9 router?

The link says "betas" ... does that mean there is no stable releases yet for this model?

theres no "stable" releases for any model for like the last 9 or 10 years. we were told a couple years ago one was coming, it never did.

I searched the last few build threads and this is the only report I found for your router.

Stable releases for wr841n v9 include:
27506, 27745, 31899, 33006, 33555, 35034, 35831, 35874, 35927, 36006, 36330. And, versions beyond that can work if you didn't need any routing between switch ports (the workaround commands don't work after 36330).

If debugging hardware, load 33006 (best of 2017), login with ssh/telnet and
erase nvram
for a clean start.

You may choose to revert to factory firmware, First, so that you can load a "factory to ddwrt, 33006" trailed build from the TP-Link firmware's upgrade page.

For further hardware debugging, please discuss the need in more detail.

I have a v8 that is stable with most of the 2018 builds. I am currently running 36995. Note, the v8 does not have the same chip as the later models. You need to find someone that has either a v9, v10, v11, or v12. They are all really close in hardware. V13, is marvell based and not supported.
