Looking for an affordable router.
That supports USB or MMC.
Preferably dual bands
And support most of Linux functionalities (I need to install Bash, Python, and OpenSSL)
Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks

Netgear R7800 is very affordable especially second hand
e bay or amazon ....
With DD-WRT firmware installed on it
you will get some adapted bash and linux for routers but, python sadly NO and im not really that much familiar
how to run python lib's on it
otherwise do not get any router with less than 16MB flash size and dual-core CPU... higher is better...
look for Qualcomm/Atheros units or Broadcom all the others could be waste of time/money and headache...
look at https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices

Netgear R6400 v2
1000 MHz clock, 256 MB RAM and 128 MB Flash

Unless you are looking for gaming or running up a server for some high-speed high-transfer use ... I think this would be the optimum option that offers AC1750 + dd-wrt compatibility.
