Are there any DD-WRT firmware for the Range Extenders, Wi-Fi Repeaters?
I'm going to purchase a AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender With PasstroughTP-LINK RE360 V1 (AC1200) and I would like to flash it with DD-WRT firmware, is this possible?
On the manufacturer's website on the download page there is such info:
Some official firmware of TP-Link products can be replaced by the third party firmware such as DD-WRT. TP-Link is not obligated to provide any service or support for it, and does not guarantee the performance and stability of the third party firmware. Damage to the product as a result of using third party firmware.
Probably, my question is stupid, forgive me, please. The DD-WRT firmware proved very well on my router, it has a lot of settings, and I would like to have a similar result on the device TP-LINK RE360 V1 (AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender With Passtrough).
And another question: if to change the factory firmware of device RE360 V1 to the DD-WRT firmware is not possible, that will this device work correctly with my router which already has been flashed with the firmware DD-WRT?
There is support for Mediatek. Look in the supported router page. I myself recently had two of them.

Alozaros, thanks for the useful information. I will certainly take it into consideration.
Now I need to go deeper into the analysis, because I use my old router DIR-300 with DD-WRT firmware about ten years and this info is a new for me.
I'm too late.
