[WARNING]: This thread is only for feedback on this beta release for developers and the community's benefit.
DO NOT flash this beta release unless you understand the risks involved and specific device recovery methods.
Avoid discussions! Create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.

Downloads: (DD-WRT website) HTTPS & FTP (try another if a link doesn't work)

CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (or 'curl -k {file URL} -o {file}') with http (not https) or ftp. Then 'write {file} linux'.

Repository: Trac SVN changelog since last build r43904 (GitHub mirror)

Notes:
r41664 or later for SFE NAT (k3.2+), KRACK (k24+), PBR+SFE, CAKE & FQ_CODEL_FAST (reset!), GTK Rekey timer fixes.
• Reset button was broken at 40571, then fixed in build r40750.
Experimental build option for Broadcom 8MB+ K2.x devices (limited currently): broadcom_K3X_mipsel32r1
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• Broadcom MIPS devices are now on kernel 4.4. N66U/AC66U half memory is fully resolved.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WAN lease time approaching zero bug on WRT54* devices fixed in 43191; ref: #6456
• Images for WNR3500Lv2 (BRCM NAND flash crash bug) fixed in 43219 (43217); ref: #7098
WireGuard 1.0.20200712: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks egc!

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in the GUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. 6246
WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices (only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work in some configurations in certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Use client or repeater instead.
VAPs not working at boot fixed for unbridged VAPs with r40564:40566. Workaround startup command:
sleep 10;stopservice nas;stopservice wlconf;startservice wlconf;startservice nas (there are a few alternatives, search).
If start-up scripts do not work from USB add a delay (e.g. wait script or 'sleep 25').
For Broadcom ARM devices missing 5GHz channels, via telnet/ssh: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'nvram reboot'

Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog/serial output, strace etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.

Router Model: Linksys EA6900 (XVortex CFE)

Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.231 #745 SMP Sat Aug 1 10:40:35 +04 2020 armv7l

Upgraded: DD-WRT v3.0-r42514 std (02/25/20)via telnet (update via GUI not possible because nvram is placed on linux partition and not linux2 partition due to Xvortex CFE)

Reset: Yes, before and after (Erase NVRAM and WPS reset)

Configuration: AP, DHCP server, 2,4GHz wireless running, 5GHz running, some static leases and some port range forwarding, SFE on, NVRAM size just over 32K (NVRAM size should not be a problem with the Xvortex CFE)

Status: Up and stable for 1 day, excellent wireless speed and range
Errors: none so far

Thanks BrainSlayer!!

Router/Version: TP-Link Archer C9 V.4 (EU)

File/Kernel: Linux 4.4.231 #747 SMP Sun Aug 2 12:25:05 +04 2020 armv7l

Previous/Reset: (Previous/Flashed from) tp-link's web-flash page in its factory firmware (which, in turn), had been stripped to allow for returning from previous dd-wrt flash) (...),

I used the r44048 factory to dd-wrt and then upgraded with webflash bin file.

all from: dd-wrt download url for archer c9 v.4

Reset at every step

Mode/Status: AP

Issues/Errors:

archer9 kern.err kernel: nflash: found no supported devices
archer9 kern.err kernel: brcmnand: found no supported devices

Completely unnecessary to flash the webflash file if it was first flash on this router. This is not a router that has a mini trailed initial flash that requires a larger image flashed for full-featured firmware. Also, you do NOT have to flash back to factory every time to upgrade DD-WRT on this router, that is what the webflash.bin is for. Not sure where you got all this erroneous nonsense from.

Hi.

Thank you for the enlightenment.

Is this build good for USB/JFFS2/USB PRINT SERVER?

Thank you.

Issues: Running CoovaChilli.
Status: Working. Have about 30 clients on it.

I having issues running CoovaChilli. It starts and then stops. I get the following errors

    Aug 4 02:32:00 Router0 user.info : chilli : maybe died, we need to re-exec it
    Aug 4 02:32:03 Router0 user.info : chillispot : Error on startup, returncode 1

A quick overview of my setup on my Netgear R6300v2. I had freeradius and my own CP setup using Lighttpd.

    1.) Created a VAP
    2.) Created a Bridge (br1)
    3.) Assigned VAP to Bridge
4.) Assigned a network to Bridge
    5.) Enabled CoovaChilli
6.) Selected br1 and confiruded settings
7.) Applied settings (Also restarted router)

Result CoovaChilli starts and closed with error message above. I lose fiewall settings (nat rules) until I reboot or I 'apply seetings' on the GUI that would reapply the firewall rules (Basic Setup page). I tried different settings from old forum posts but was unsuccessful.

I might be mistaken but there might be an issue because I can't even start chilli from the command line with debug and foreground mode options. I also tried running Chilli on my Netgear WNDR3700 and my Linksys EA8500 and it wouldn't start.

If there is any logs or additional information I can provide please let me know. My apologies in advance if it's just a configuration issue and CoovaChilli is running on current builds.

August 8, 2020
Update: Disregard the issue related to CoovaChilli not running. My apologies got it to finally run. It was a configuration issue.

However I did notice two issues with CoovaChilli during this process.

I did notice two issues during the process of setting up CoovaChilli. See the update section of my post for my Linksys EA8500 as it is the same (https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1213418#1213418)

I tried to be as detailed as possible. If there is any logs or additional information I can provide please let me know. My apologies in advance if it's just a configuration issue.

Other than that the router running great!
