I received a new rt-ac68u. It has the the same cpu (1.4ghz) and radios as the rt-ac1900p so I loaded the rt-ac1900p build and it identifies the router as Northstar Broadcom. I’ve been told that is due to mis-detection. Also tried the build for the rt-ac68u and it says the same thing.
Not sure if that is a potential problem so I’ve flashed back to rmerlin for now. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

What is the board_id for it versus the others? _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#

Check cpuinfo and cpu revinfo #. Most like upgrade of 4709x. Also check digital voltage of cpu to get min,max of speed in reg preset.
code:
dd if=/dev/mtd0 | hexdump -C
and then looking the text.9.375v is set @ 800mhz,every time is up or down 200mhz.wonder to see how max cpu can clock up.
