This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29000_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

My Trendnet TEW811DRU unit goes through the update process and then stays at the old firmware, it doesn't update to the new one. EDIT: It worked the second time I tried.

Reset; Yes; Reset via webGUI (reboot), Firmware upgrade w/reset to defaults (httpd crash!), (wait 5 minutes, power cycled), configured previous settings manually (reboot), re-configured basic wireless (reboot)
Mode: Gateway/AP
Status: OK
Issues/Errors: HTTPD crashed after firmware flashed (again!) with no report of upgrade successful via the webGUI. Basic wireless settings, channels default to auto after initial re-configuration and reboot. Had to go back in, click save, re-configure channels, save, reboot. Gratuitous serial console log (forgot to have serial up and running initially, but) and final reboot syslog attached (I should probably save the first reboot syslog next time)....
EDIT: Httpd error messages (nothing new)

Will someone point me to a build that works as a repeater? This build isn't accepting connections. I've had it running for 100+ days, decided to update it, and the repeater setup like I had it doesn't work. No connections to the broadcasted repeated signal. _________________ Deployed Routers:

Issues/Errors: On numerous attempts, my router wouldn't take this version. Web update resulted in web GUI becoming unresponsive. Command line update caused SSH to become unresponsive. In both cases, the router continues to work. Each time, a reboot of the router restored web GUI and command line functions. A command line update eventually worked, and things are working well (after limited use and testing).

use latest publicly available build (36410 curently), then you have to erase nvram and set it up again from "scratch"... do not use previous backedup nvram configs...
if that doesn't work for you, you can try "Atheros Repeating" - Client bridge + VAP (AP) in router mode (no NAT)...
