Hi guys

I set up a R7800 a few weeks ago for a chap, he's having problems when trying to connect his imac to 5ghz wi-fi, nothing wrong with the router as his mobile (iphone) connects just fine, strangest thing it was working until he changed the wi-fi password, it's like the password is wrong or cached, i've factory reset the router and reset up from fresh but still his imac refuses to connect, removed the password by pressing the minus sign in the imac, i have very little experience with imac's just wonder if anyone could shed some light on the issue or what settings it may like?
Tried factory resetting router and reconfiguring it.
Changing the SSID and channel number

dont do ac/n-mixed, do just "mixed". the channel the router is on is..? wasnt said, so try 36 if it isnt already. is the router set on united kingdom? if not, try that as well (not united kingdom bfwa).

You're back in the Draft-N days of wifi...

I remember my macbook from back then would be flakey with N-mode and would only work with G even though it was N. This is why it was recommended to do "mixed" mode.

Back then, the upper VHT80 segment is not in existence so 36+UU or 52+UU(DFS). Also, VHT80 was not part of the standard back then so the best this card will support is HT40... that might be part of the issue too...but it should work on mixed mode. Just don't be surprised if it only does G mode.
