|
I'm using the last brainslayer build, r36247, for my TP-Link Archer C7 v2 router. I've configured the router to connect to our home 5.0GHz wifi as a Wifi Client (client mode - using this as WAN in the Archer C7). When I connect with my laptop (sitting next to the router) with either 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz, the max speed test is always pegged exactly at 20Mbps. When I connect my laptop directly to the home 5.0GHz wifi, speed tests results in +160Mbps consistently.
QoS is disabled, firewall is off. Everything looks good for router performance.
Any advice? |

Use the recommended wireless settings from here: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Atheros/ath_wireless_settings
Also, make sure to choose the least crowded channel.
I have two archer C7 v2 and with SFE off, I get >40Mb/s on either band. I generally have 10-20 clients on my network as a whole at any given time. A single client getting 40Mb/s of my 100Mb/s download speed, is pretty good. QoS is running but on my EdgeRouter X, not on a dd-wrt router.
I would also suggest downgrading to 36168 at this time, that is what I am running on my routers, as of this post. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
