went from dd-wrt to kong in the hope of having a stable and reliable firmware.
Unfortunately, I find some problems:

1) wireless mac filter not working in wifi-vlan. They are not present in the configuration mask.
2) The wifi lan DO NOT work in 2.4mhz and 5mhz when they initially worked
3) I activated the option to start the WiFi only by pressing the WiFi button but in reality the WiFi leds also turn on at startup. WiFi does not work anyway.

More or less the same problems I had them with the standard version.
I am very disappointed. Sad

From CLI do "erase nvram" and put settings in manually
MAC filter is problematic but Wifi should work

Will the problem ever be solved Question

Did you install the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin file or the dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_R7000P.bin one?

Are those 'cheaper' routers using identical hardware configuration? What difference does it make how much your router costs when you are voluntarily running aftermarket 3rd party firmware on it? How many bug reports with explicit code snippets have you tested and submitted?

If there are cheaper solutions that have stupid-consumer-focused application functionality, maybe they are a better fit for your use case. Alternatively, maybe you just need to go back to a factory config... Smile

For example, the old router did not support VLANs. The basic firmware does not have the features that instead found in dd-wrt. Unfortunately I notice that the performance, activating some options like VLANs degrade but I do not think depends only on firmware. Objectively, I was expecting something more from the R7000. Go back to the original firmware unfortunately I would have to give up many useful configurations.
I have not reported the problems indicated because I believe there are already unresolved active tickets, at least from what I understand. I hope that many of these problems are resolved even if I understand that it is not always possible.
