I am using wr941nd v3.6 with ddwrt build 33772.
I am having some issue and would like to try another build.
I have tried gui and command line to change firmware but I am unsuccessful. Gui restarts without upgrade and cli results in a failure too.
Any input on how to be able to change the firmware is appreciated.

if you can recover it via serial with same success you can try the last firmware available...36168
try to flash via serial using factory to dd-wrt file first... ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/06-20-2018-r36168/tplink_tl-wr941ndv3/factory-to-ddwrt.bin _________________ Atheros

in using the above commands some how "dd" didn't go through and now it cant be serial recovered, because i suppose the whole partition on chip is corrupt.
i am willing to try to re program at chip level (a first for me) but i would need a dump?
any more inputs would be appreciated, i would love to recover this just as a project as i have already bought a c7 v4 and flashed ddwrt also bought wrt30n for cheap and have upgraded it to e2000.
