I was running a old 2014 build on my Linksys e2000 router until last week. I upgraded the ddwrt version to 36154 and the previous build but the chromecast quit working. I can ping it but can't connect to it on windows pc/chrome browser, or my iphone. I blocked google dns using this command and it let me stream from windows a couple times and quit again. Any ideas?

Hmmm 2014 to current is quite a build jump, I would consider an nvram reset, just to be on the safe side, considering a jump that big...

Foremost I would try simply power cycling the Chromecast, simple, but in the land of "always on" people may not think of this, simply unplug the us cable and reconnect...

Have you tried resetting the Chromecast itself? Have the Chromecast go back to defaults and try to configure again, sounds like a WiFi setting may be buggered...do other devices in your lan have issues?

Seems like it's a known issue. You could try reverting to 35531 and see if it's working in that build.

Except the e2000 is neither Qualcomm nor Marvell.

Correct. Maybe the ticket needs to be updated to include Broadcom... OR this ticket re-opened to include Broadcom:

... OR a new ticket opened for Broadcom routers...

Chromecast works well with all recent Kong builds for my Broadcom routers. I would go with a reset as a start

No, but might be worthwhile to try a slightly older BS build, in 35900-36000 range.

I have factory reset the chromecast and the router and it didn't help. I have been trying different firmwares and this is what I found.

DD-WRT v3.0-r30016 mega ->Works perfect all platforms
DD-WRT v3.0-r33772 mega ->Works from Windows/Chrome but not iphone
DD-WRT v3.0-r33986 mega (12/04/17) ->Works from Windows/Chrome but not iphone

So I am running DD-WRT v3.0-r35531 mega (03/26/1Cool now.

I have it working now with that version. But chromecast didnt work. I had to iptables block the 8.8.8.8 address and set ddwrt to ping the ipaddress of the chromecast. It you stop using it after 10-15 min it disconnects but not if you ping it. It is now working from windows and my iphone but not my Samsung phone or ipad. I usually stream from my iphone so it is ok for now. But if I go to a old version the chromecast just works.

Sounds like you might need to drop back to r35531 K2.6 and try that, or perhaps configure DD-WRT to block both 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the firewall per the wiki...

I believe Chromecast defaults to querying Google dns servers and that causes issues with connectivity (?) The wiki doesn't explain the necessity for dropping / rejecting querying them to get Chromecast to work.
