I have flashed my router (TP-link Archer C9) with DD_WRT build 33413, and put in the settings for Nordvpn using the services GUI. I put in the addresses of two devices on my local network into pbr so the others can bypass the vpn. Finally I got it working, all good - however whenever I reboot the rooter it reverts back to the wan addresss, and the openvpn in the status menu has nothing in it, I have to reapply the settings to restablish the vpn. Is there anything I can do to stop having to do this?
Thanks in advance

Thanks! I don't have a server running so that should not be a problem

Ah well it was! I woke up this morning to find it had reverted to wan again, and status > openvpn was empty. Reapplying the settings restores it. Is there a way of reapplying the settings automatically if the openvpn drops?
Thanks

I will run the code when it next happens.

Your suggestion that the servers were down for maintenance etc seems plausable, which would these be? the ones in Basic setup DNS1 and DNS2? In my case 103.86.96.100 & 103.86.99.100, as provided in the Nordvpn tutorial. How do I find other servers to use, and what would the coding be to add them? (Sorry I am new to this)
Thanks

Thanks will do this, I assumed the CA and TLS certificates were different for each vpn server so this wasnt possible

Maybe if I use pptp protocol? I know it is less secure but probably good enough for my purposes

Perhaps not such a good idea then, I think I will just add
the kill switch, and check from time to time the vpn is connected,
