Hello everyone,
i've found a bug i a dd-wrt Version >= 34760 and at the moment it is impossible to create a bug report under svn.dd-wrt.com, because it is using an old recapture API from google.
TL;TR
Wifi broken, when adding virtual interface under wrt3200acm since "Drop Clients with Low Signal" extention.
With Version 34578 for the linksys-wrt3200acm everything works fine. I attached a virtual guest wifi adapter as a virtual interface and everything works as expected.
After upgrading to Version 34760 and above it was not possible to use this configuration anymore, because the whole wifi configuration was broken. I was not possible to connect to the normal Wifi Network under 2,4 GHz if the created virtual adapter was existing.
I can see the ssid, but it's not possible to build up a connection to this ssid. Sometimes and very rarly i see under my android phone that it is getting an ip address for 0,5 sec. but that was all. He tries, and stopping after some seconds to build up a connection to my networks. It does not matter which network i choose (from the virtual interface or the physical).
With this Version there the extention "Drop Clients with Low Signal" has been added. (Found this in comparison over svn.dd-wrt.com with the newer version)
Interestingly everything works fine with TP-Link ARCHER-C7 v2 and TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1.
I thinks this could be a problem with the extention and the driver integration of mwlwifi (https://github.com/kaloz/mwlwifi/), since the driver was not updated from my point of view:
Version 34578:
strings /lib/modules/*/mwlwifi.ko | grep 10
10.3.4.0-20180118
and
Version 34760:
strings /lib/modules/*/mwlwifi.ko | grep 10
10.3.4.0-20180118
What is a good way for a solution of this problem?
