I may be wrong but I think PIE is only effective with 50+ Mbps connections...

Like Tatsuya said, Multicast DNS is proper f*cked still because the DNSMASQ code hasn't been reverted nor looked at in Kong builds yet. Very frustrating because a lot of devices use mDNS- Anything apple (AKA Bonjour). My HP printer won't wifi print anymore thanks to this Bonjour issue with mDNS. (Here is the separate thread on it: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=315416)

For QOS- I've been using HTB and FQ_codel on my 100/10 Comcast/Xfinity Cable internet which is over-provisioned to 120/12.

On Wifi I can get good bufferbloat, on wired bufferbloat is craptastic. Though on wired if I switch to IE the test comes out good for bufferbloat. I think that's beacause the EA8500 WAN and LAN resources are shared while on the R7800 the WAN and LAN are separated; meaning hardware wise.

PIE seems too slow to react when I tested on past builds.
I haven't tested on this latest build yet.

Last we all had this discussion, Tatsuya said that HTB for kong is the most refined code (Kong made tweaks as requested by Tatsuya) and should have the best results. My personal testing reveals that to be true.
HFSC is not far behind and has nearly identical results, but HTB is less jittery than HFSC.

I too used HTB-FQ_CODEL but since 35900 HFSC-PIE impressed me, HFSC-FQ_CODEL is close second.

Here are my results for Kong 36100- HTB-FQ is my best performer on a EA8500. Way fewer spikes when you look at the bufferbloat high-res graph.

Wifi
HTB-FQ_Codel: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/34387219

HFSC-PIE: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/34387353

Wired
HTB-FQ_Codel: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/34387632

HFSC-PIE: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/34387548

When you restore a previous build, the GUI for me at least, still shows the current build, not the one I reverted to. I do notice tho, the previous settings are present.
Is that correct?
