I have been trying for the entire night, there is no way I can get wan ip from my ericsson ont. I have clone the WAN mac address to be same as the router given but somehow it does not give the WAN IP with Automatic Configuration - DHCP. I try to emulate using the same IP address and gateway using static IP but still not luck, uptime still show as not available. I can see link status is up from switch config. I know vlan tagging is required but that is for tagging the eth1, ath0 and ath1 for vid 10. Or there is something I need to do if it is iPOE. There is no login detail btw as it is fiber optic. Dun think i need to tag eth0 right? I am running on DD-WRT v3.0-r42819 std (03/30/20).

Try this to set vid 10 on WAN.
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set ports "0t 5"
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set vid 10
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
How do I check whether the port been tagged?
I did a
Code:
nvram show | grep vlan* | sort
I can see vlan2.10_hwaddr = my cloned mac, do i need to change the one vlan10_hwaddr to the same mac.
Actually what I wanted to do is have the connection coming from my ONT untagged, as I require vid 10 piority 0 for internet and vid 20 piority 4 for IPTV but the IPTV will not be using the switch of r7800.
I wonder whether is possible to connect another switch to r7800 untagged, so I can tag vid 10 and vid 20 on the ports of the other switch.
Example:
R7800
WAN Port -> ONT
Port 1 -> Internet (Vid 10)
Port 2 -> Internet (Vid 10)
Port 3 -> Internet (Vid 10)
Port 4 -> Switch (untagged)
Other Switch:
Port 1 -> R7800 (untagged)
Port 2 -> IPTV (Vid 20)
Port 3 -> Internet (Vid 10)
Port 4 -> Internet (Vid 10)
Port 5 -> Internet (Vid 10)

Nope. I tried with and without mac cloning, the auto dhcp does not work.
This is my output:
Code:
Global attributes:
enable_vlan: 1
enable_mirror_rx: 0
enable_mirror_tx: 0
mirror_monitor_port: 0
mirror_source_port: 0
disable_all_leds: ???
arl_age_time: 300
arl_table: address resolution table
Port 0: MAC b0:39:56:8d:b7:24
Port 3: MAC f0:79:59:39:3b:f9
Port 5: MAC 00:90:d0:63:ff:00
Port 6: MAC ac:bc:32:ce:1b:03
Port 6: MAC b0:39:56:8d:b7:22
Anyway i saw another thread which mention i need to use VLAN 10 instead of VLAN 2 but the example is shown using the UI for the Switch Config and changing wan assignment to VLAN 10. I figure out how to switch to VLAN 10 for ports 0t and 5. What is the command to do wan assignment?
swconfig dev switch0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set ports "0t 5"
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 2 set vid 10
swconfig dev switch0 vlan 20 set ports "0t 5t"
swconfig dev switch0 set apply
vconfig add eth0 20
Actually I am not worry about the iptv yet, just that i do not know why i cannot get the wan ip, so far no issue with other routers or stock firmware, anyway i used telnet to run the command. I wonder could it be firmware issue, should I use kong's version.
Will try again when I have time during weekend, I find out something interesting about the router from the ISP. When i connect the smart switch to the switch of the router, it works without me doing any tagging at all. There is an IPTV and a mac mini connected to that switch and it is able to get the correct packets.
