I have previously set up a USB NAS w/ automatic drive mount, etc. and had it working. I ended up switching some of the drives around and suddenly, I am seeing the drive in the control panel but it isn't mounting. In Disk Info under USB, I see:
--- /dev/sda1
Block device, size 1.819 TiB (2000396746752 bytes)
Windows BOOTMGR boot loader
NTFS file system
UUID EEFA979FFA97629F
Volume size 1.819 TiB (2000396746240 bytes, 3907024895 sectors)
/dev/sda1 mounted to /tmp/mnt/sda1
for the previously working drive, and:
--- /dev/sda1
Block device, size 7.277 TiB (8001563187200 bytes)
Windows NTLDR boot loader
NTFS file system
UUID 01D3D1057A80F630
Volume size 7.277 TiB (8001563186688 bytes, 15628053099 sectors)
/dev/sda1 mounted to /tmp/mnt/sda1
for the drive not working from the start.
But under NAS, when I attempt to set up a share with SAMBA enabled, I only see /mnt and no mnt/sda1 like I had seen previously. In any case, I mount /mnt and can see /sda/, /sda1/ in the /mnt/ directory. It does not appear that auto-mount is working anymore for me..
I have attempted to reset the router and am having the same issue, with both my drives - the one that worked previously and the new one.
The version I am running is:
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/09/15) std
This is the latest for my router that's currently available.
CPU Model: ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7l)
Running fdisk -l shows the following:
Disk /dev/mtdblock0: 2 MB, 2097152 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock0 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/mtdblock1: 0 MB, 65536 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock1 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/mtdblock2: 0 MB, 65536 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock2 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/mtdblock3: 33 MB, 33554432 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock3 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/mtdblock4: 32 MB, 32046592 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 3 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock4 doesn't contain a valid partition table
Disk /dev/mtdblock5: 100 MB, 100663296 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 12 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/mtdblock5 doesn't contain a valid partition table
fdisk: device has more than 2^32 sectors, can't use all of them
Disk /dev/sda: 2199.0 GB, 2199023255040 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 267349 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 267350 2147483647+ ee EFI GPT
I'm guessing the GPT instead of MBR is the problem, but I thought SAMBA supported GPT?
I attempted to switch over to the EXT3 file system but that generated its own set of problems where I was getting permission errors when attempting to put files on/off the drive through the network (even with the workgroup and users defined..)
Let me know,
Thanks!
