when attempting to sftp using filezilla i get err Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server

err in router log
Mar 23 14:05:37 dd-wrt daemon.err httpd[18299]: Request Error Code 401: Authorization required. please note that the default username is "root" in all newer releases

I have sshd enable with password and change of port. changing the port I am asked to trust a new cert.

I did have sshd setup with a cert but i removed it. maybe not correctly..i do have data in nvram host ssh key.

can that be the problem? is save to remove data from host ssh key

dropbear seams to have been "upgraded?" to SCP only

I hope this is temporary

That and certs have to be min 2048 now
