Hello, I also own a 940N v6 (EU), and have tried the file which was posted in the first page.

The flashing was done through TFTP (web gui didn't work), which made the router stuck in a reboot loop like another user described. I was able to unbrick the router by TFTPing the stock image.

Is there anything I can do to make supported FW possible for v6?

Have a nice day.

Not tested by me.

Thanks, I'll try them as soon as I unbrick my router Very Happy

Had a bit of a misfortune trying to flash back to original from openwrt.

Off-topic but I would appreciate it if anyone knows this, is it necessary to short pins in order to achieve serial connection? Right now I connected Rx to Tx, Tx to Rx, and ground to ground, am I doing something wrong?

If you're using serial connection for wr940n to flash dd-wrt, then don't. Try my method, it's simple as a pie Smile

Hi there,
I managed to flash my router with the latest firmware on this thread. Apart from the blinking LED, it's working perfectly.

I do have one issue, why cannot I see hard wired devices connected to the same router? I get a destination host unreachable error.

Googling appears to indicate that there is a bug in the firmware?

I believe if that is the case, there is a command you can run but I would appreciate it if you could tell me how and where to run the command which is the following:

swconfig dev eth1 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth1 set apply

I've tried to run it through putty and the command line on the router config page, but appears to just time out.

Please can someone advise?
(I can ping wireless devices such as my smart TV).

Thanks.

Save your commands as startup under Administration - Commands page.

Then, reboot.

If not working, save the following commands as startup. (Just paste them and save as startup. The earlier commands will be replaced with the newer ones.)

swconfig dev eth0 set enable_vlan 1
swconfig dev eth0 set apply

Then, reboot.

If still nothing works, just flash again following my instructions here : https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1155331#1155330

V6 usually means V6.X. So V6.1 should work with the V6 file.

VPN on that router, expect no more than 10MB/s through the VPN. And that is pushing it. It is not very powerful at all.

Hello friend, thank you in advance.
But it does not work, the version is BR, in betas there is only US and EU.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/09-13-2019-r41027/tplink_tl-wr940ndv6/
I flashed them both via TFTP. Everything works, connect to wan, the Wifi network, but does not access the web interface 192.168.1.1, is loading infinitely. SSH and Telnet also do not work.
