Kernel: Linux 3.10.107 #16448
Previous: dd-wrt.v24-33555_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin
Status: No connectivity between wl0 and wl1
Reset: No
Errors: I thought everything was OK until I just tried scanning using my lone item on the 2.4 GHz band. The printer/scanner connects to the 2.4 wireless but cannot be pinged from any of my hosts on the 5 GHz including the router.

Reverted to 33555 and it works fine.

scootcha, check to see if the radios are in different vlans

Previous: K26 33555
Mode/Status: AP
Reset: during webflash
Issues/Errors: Wireless non-functional

tried 30/30/30 reset did not make any difference. Radio shows as disabled.

Attempted to downgrade to build 33555 K3.0 and vlan setups became corrupted and the LAN interfaces stopped working however the wifi radio did start working. Had to revert to build 33555 K2.6 in order for the vlans to be properly configured and the radio and LAN ports to work.

I believe the K3.X 33555 build would work if webflashed with NO RESET from K2.6 build 33555 BUT if the router were 30/30/30ed with a K3.x build on it, it would not properly setup the VLAN.

Attempted to update to build 33607 mini K2.6 on this router from build 33555 mini K2.6 - that failed initially, wifi radio was not on channel selection is set to Auto and does not allow changing. Reverted to a much older build 25628 which also displayed the same issue with the radio, did a 30/30/30 reset, the radio then came back, then updated to build 33607 K2.6 mini and everything worked.

Previous: 33006

Issues/Errors: WiFi keeps dropping

ASUS AC66U. Upgraded from 33006 to 33607. Appears to have WiFi issues on 5GHz band. My Nexus 6 (phone) repeatedly connects and disconnects. Confirmed on both the phone and the router SysInfo screen. Power cycling the router and phone have no affect. So far my Chromecasts appear to be working okay but none of the other phones are showing up on the SysInfo screen, either.

Edit - rolled back to 33525, it appears to work a bit better.

Mode/Status: AP
Reset: during webflash
Issues/Errors: None so far

Attempted to update to 33607 K3.x mega and was UNABLE to do so, the router DID NOT flash it (flash aborted by the router)

30/30/30 reset on the previous build 33555 mega K3.x change the VLAN assignment making the Ethernet ports unusable. I was able to attach to the dd-wrt SSID and put the VLAN assignment back then save it and power-cycle the router to get it back working again.

Problems were similar as with my Linksys E1500 v1 router.

mini lacks IPv6 support, but there is no mini in the K3.x build.

My config is rather vanilla, I have never used wireless virtual interfaces in the past and they are not configured now. I can't quite tell from your statement if you think implementing them would help alleviate this issue or I should continue to avoid them.

Scootcha my mistake, I meant bridge not vlan.

For a dual radio setup you will have interfaces eth0, eth1 eth2 eth0 is the physical Ethernet, eth1 is radio 1, eth2 is radio 2

Go to Setup, Networking, and look at current bridge table. What interfaces are in br0 (the bridge)?

Check this under both the 33555 firmware that is working and the 33607 firmware that is not and see if there is a difference.

I am guessing under 33555 that vlan1, and the 3 eth interfaces are assigned to the bridge br0, under 33607 only eth0 and eth1 are.

You could try assigning eth2 to bridge br0 but make sure you can unbrick! No guarantees here!

The bridging tables are the same for both builds.

33555
Bridge Name STP enabled Interface
br0 no vlan1 eth1 eth2

33607
br0 no vlan1 eth1 eth2

Reset to Default Settings on the webflash and a 30/30/30 reset appear to work differently on the Linksys E1200v2 and E1500v1

If your radio gets disabled during testing with the latest build before reverting back to an older build try a 30/30/30 reset.

Issues/Errors: Seems to work fine (5ghz only, haven't tried 2.4)

Other: In between the two builds above, I briefly tried the k3.x version of 33607. Because the WebGUI (still) lacks TLS support, I loaded the k2.6 version.
