Is there any K3X build for Cisco Linksys e4200V1 available?

Currently I'm running DD-WRT v3.0-r30880 mega (11/14/16), Kernel Linux 3.10.104 #14800 Mon Nov 14 17:34:41 CET 2016 mips on my e4200.
This build was recommended in the Steve Jenkins Blog.

I use this router as AP serving my privat LAN/WLAN and a separat isolated VAP for IoT devices.

In comparision with another router I'm using (DIR-890L) I'm missing the miniDLNA feature.

I'd like to connect an external USD-SSD for streaming my lossless music to my StreamboxDSnet.

Any possibility to add a media-server-feature to my e4200?

If the feature is not in Services->NAS tab, it's probably taken out to fit the small flash size. For a unknown reason, there are no 16M FW. It's 8 and 23.

Just to point out that if you actually read what Steve Jenkins wrote you should know that he compared K2.6 to k3.x build and he recommend K2.6 cause it gives him better speed. K3X build was available long before 30880.

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/
30880 is in the 2016 folder. If you go to the 2017 folder you will find about 25 newer builds you can try. There are broadcom_K26 and broadcom_K3X subfolder with what you need.

But the latest CRACK fixed build seems to have lots of wireless issues FYI.

Before, I was running a K2.6 Version on my e4200. (31924-Mega). But this on sufferd problems with security on Virtual Interfaces. The virtual interface showed up on my clients, only if security was disabled.

So I upgraded to K3.X and my security issues were solved.

Two comments to the Steve-Jenkins blog:

- Im using the e4200 as an AP (no NAT-router) so the performance issue is not of my concern.

- Newer build incorporate the SFE-feature, to boost NAT performance. Ever since the stability of those builds is somewhat questionable. It'll probalby take some more time for the developpers to get things right. Same is true for the KRACK-issue.
