No problems encountered since it's release.
As my usual practice, erased nvram just before and just after the firmware update.
Note: The testing environment of the D-Link is in a condo complex, so the 2.4 GHz Channel Width is set to only 20 MHz due to ridiculously large amount of wireless traffic from neighbour routers and use of Apple (iPhones & iPads) products from some users. The Beacon Interval was also changed to 50, again due to the Apple products.
I intentionally avoided the last two releases, 04-19-2018-r35770 which was removed from the ftp server and 04-20-2018-r35770, due to feedbacks of "bricked" routers among some of the other brands.
Are you still on that version? My router has been disconnecting randomly on a daily basis and I'm looking for a stable version to update to
NOTE: After a firmware update, I manually turn off, then turn the router back on. A few firmware versions previously, router would not reboot on it's own.

The entire procedure that I ended up using:
1. Clearing the NVRAM: Telnet to router and entering the command erase nvram
2. Turn off the router using router's power button for a few seconds
3. Log back into the router and confirm that it is reset to defaults. If so, update via WebGUI.
4. Turn off the router using the router' power button for a few seconds
5. Clear the browser's cache
6. Log back into the router, check that update was completed, configure the router's settings.

6. Turn off the router using the router' power button for a few seconds, then turn it back on

8. Log back into the router, check that update was completed, for testing purposes I change the Router GUI Style from the default blue to red, then Save, then Apply Settings
9. Clear the NVRAM
10. Turn off the router for a few seconds, then turn it back on
11. Log into the router and verify NVRAM has cleared to defaults by checking that Router GUI Style is back to default Blue
12. Configure the router settings

Have not encountered crashes nor any problems downloading 10GB+ files at a rather slow 75Mb/s speeds with 06-29-2018-r36247.
If possible, test your router at another location. e.g. Relative's home with a proven stable internet connection.
If router works fine at your relative's home, then the issue is with your modem or connection serviced by your ISP.

Hey there, i know it sounds funny, but what did the trick 4me is to turn off the ntp service and the "Shortcut Forwarding Engine" under the setup page.
since i did that nor more drops...
but mine isn activating the full 40hz band under 2.4ghz. Its allways 20hz
even if it say its doing the 40hz...
