All of my Atheros routers (including the TP-Links) in my signature are currently running 33413 successfully, upgraded from 33215, no reset.

DON'T PUT THIS BUILD ON AN ASUS N66U, IT WILL BRICK IT.

@arrowdau see here for recovery :

http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?81462-How-to-recovery-the-router-when-you-bricked-it

you can also do it directly with serial interface , but this is a bit more complicated:

youtube video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t35Pei_eb6o

you might also need to put a switch between your router and computer, this helped me many times.
