Can anyone using this with the latest DDWRT build confirm it's working and safe to flash?
I bought this one to kickstart a gigabit network but the stock firmware is super lackluster, can't even set a DNS server on its own DHCP server (for Pihole), uPnP isn't working properly under stock too. Connection is unstable at times too.
hello!
I have dir-882 with Russian firmware 3.5.0 by default.
and i cant install in recovery ANY other firmware's, always there is message that image failed to pass verification
Same situation here
Could anyone help? How to run away from this RU firmware?

I don't have your router, but I can tell you development became experimental after 12-29-2019-r41813.
What does that mean?
It means that he obviously doesn't realize all development in this firmware is experimental... but seriously, he is talking about the kernel-level smbd development going on. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Now, it could be I have been upgrading wrongly? I have simply been flashing over r39296. If anybody is using a later version using PPPoE, please post. I may get brave enough one day to try again.
If I remember correctly when upgrading you have to reset all our settings as the jump from r39296 to the latest version is so huge (completely different kernel versions).
Hi,
Just bought this router from amazon since it was at a good price.
I'm new at dd-wrt but can understand the concepts and mostly everything about this.
The thing is that i installed the latest version and then reversed to (r39296). After this i'm having some troubles:
I've lost the combo Username/Pass and tried everything to work it back by hard reseting, but without success...
Going to try factory reset to native firmware and then reinstall again the latest firmware from DD-WRT.
I would appreciate if somebody could share what's the better build overall to have on day to day with good WiFi speeds. My main objective is to configure NordVPN (and i've done it with success before i lost the access to the router) and turn it on when my ISP blocks my IPTV.
