Hi all new here
I just bought a WRT 1900 ACS v2.
Flashed latest build from here and had wireless issues where it keep dropping out every 5 - 10 mins.
Not had issue on stock firmware.

Any known issues?
Should I try LDE?

You did not state the version you installed. If from database then it is very old.

You can get the latest at this link.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/

Also read the info in the thread referenced in my sig. Has lots of good info for first timers, especially entry 2.

r33006 works extremely well on my Linksys WRT1900ACS V2. I've had no problems with dropouts.

I'm using the Stock Firmware, for about 3 months without a single issue in my WRT3200ACM, with both 2.4 and 5ghz channels working fine. Smile

@nekromantik
Some folks report better luck when the set a channel rather then leaving it set to auto. Would suggest 36 or better yet 149. I also leave it set to mixed for mode. Everything connects at max speeds for me with it left to the default of mixed. With these settings r33006 ran well for me.

Shame Kong stopped builds as people said good things.
I tried LEDE but could not get WAN to work.

Hi

I have a 1900ACS v2, I ended up using Kong 31100M it works fine.

I've attached the image file you can use this to flash via the DD-WRT menu (worked for me anyway)

I used 2017_0108_ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acs.bin

from here :

Attached to post

I've also got pixelserv-tls working on mine if you're interested?

Two months ago I get rid of all my WRT units and get two Netgear r7800 with Kong build. (I am not using VPN and NAS functions).
Looks like Kong is working very hard now with r7800 and its really amazing how Qualcomm-Atheros can be miles ahead of Marvel.

Good to hear. I also got fed up with the constant work required trying to find a stable/fast/reliable build for my WRT1900ACv1. I finally settled on DavidC's custom LEDE build with the 4.4 kernel which is good but still requires a lot of maintenance to keep current.

I have a Netgear r7800 sitting on my desk waiting to be set up with Kong's build and I sure hope it's better than the disappointing Marvell/WRT series has been for me.

If you will stay with Linksys WRT units you will always try to do something to improve it like different builds, Lede, OEM, settings, switching partitions and so on. But its like "Tilting at windmills" coz you will not able to fix a nature of Marvel problems.
Please try r7800 Kong based and hope you will be more happy with proper configuration
