I am trying to make use of my 300Mbps internet connection but can't find any information related to speed based loosely on the processor using dd-wrt with VPN script.
I found a PC that has all the hardware but I just don't know if it will be fast enough and I'll use my current wireless router as the built in wireless probably won't work. Its the Mini PC Celeron J1900 Quad Core Windows 10 Dual LAN 2*COM Fanless Mini Computer, and here is the link,
Does dd-wrt take advantage of multiple cores on a X86 PC?
What is the biggest bottle neck for dd-wrt? Where to put the money?
Is there a preferred type of processor?

It looks like (I think) the scripted OpenVPN will be the bottle neck as it will only use one core. The CPU clock speed has to be high and it must have lots of cache but anymore than 1 core is wasted. It looks like I have answered my own question (above), but not fixed the problem.
do vpn on the server itself. i use server 2008 and inbuilt vpn server with l2tp/ipsec aes encryption. i got a dual core pentium cpu 3.2ghz and i get 380mbit throughput with is the limit of my internet connection.
